Larry The Cable Guy
Saturday night was one for the books! One more thing marked off my bucket list of shows I want to see. For Christmas, I bought tickets for my mom to see Larry the Cable Guy. Harris Cherokee Casino Event Center hosted his show this past Saturday. I was beyond blessed to get tickets to see him. I know if my dad was still alive today. This would've been something I would've done with him too.
My mom has never got to really go out and do anything. There are so many first for her that I have checked off her list in the past 10 years. I was really afraid she would not be able to physically go into the center to watch the show. I didn't have the extra money to do valet parking so we parked in the parking deck. The walking distance from the parking deck to the event center is absolutely ridiculous for those who are physically impaired.
I would write the show a 10 out of a 10. Although the comedian is 62 he really knows how to get an audience laughing. I will forever remember this night because it's the first time I've seen my mom genuinely smile in years. My toddler got some good quality time with her dad and I was able to have an additional night of fun with my mom. I don't know how many more nights I will have with her as her health declines rapidly. She and I don't always see eye to eye, but I want to make things work for as long as she's alive. I would gladly sacrifice another night in order to see my mom enjoy herself.
His opening act was a guy named Nick and honestly his show was just as good! I was very impressed with everything from the snacks and drinks available to seating. Every worker was beyond friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend this event center for any of your upcoming entertainment options. His act wasn't necessarily kid friendly but that's why it was 21+ to get in. I will probably never get the opportunity to see him live again, so it was worth going out on a very cold not to see him. The ticket price however, was very over my budget. I'm so thankful I am able to make payments toward it.
