2026 Goals
I told myself I wouldn't necessarily be hyper focused on a list of goals. Just because I told myself that doesn't mean I still don't have a said list. As with everything, I have to have a list. So listen up peeps here is my somewhat list for 2026.
1. We are on day two of 365. My goal is to make healthier choices each day that could be from taking the stairs instead of the elevator, parking further away from the stores, or simply making better choices when eating. #GirlWeGottaDoBetter.
2. Stay in my own lane. I will not get wrapped up in others drama. This year I will be solely focused on me and my little family. If you want to be a part of that, then you have to show up. I will not go out of my way to update people who don't ask.
3. I will not purchase more goats! I have made it a personal goal not to add any new goats to my herd this year. Next year I may possibly purchase a new billy. I need to keep my head small and closed in order to have an efficient farm. I feel like this will keep my stress levels relatively low if I stay below 20 or so goats.
4. I'm going to take time to read this year. It is something that I'm very passionate about and to top that all off it is something I enjoy. I plan to read more to my kid, along with providing her a reading culture where we do this daily.
5. Spend more time with immediate family. I'm already family focused for the most part, but I need to make a point of having a planned family outing at least twice a month. It doesn't have to be something elaborate or super expensive but it does need to happen. #FamilyFirst2026
6. Make time for my spouse. I'm so hyper focused on work, raising a toddler, and keeping the farm floating that sometimes I don't take time to really appreciate him. This year I will make a point to spend quality time with my husband. Because in the future Taylor will probably move out and it will just be us.
7. Try to grow a garden more elaborately this year. I want more stuff to be farm fresh in our fridge. I want to be self-sufficient eventually. This can only happen if I put the effort into it. I don't want to be a full Homestead, but it would be nice to only have to purchase a few items at the store instead of hundreds of dollars each time I go.
8. Don't take on more responsibility than what I can handle. If it is not something I directly need to do, I will not be doing it. I will also be learning to use the word,"NO."So often, I struggle with setting boundaries. And I end up having to do even more than my share.
