Where's the Party?
So.... Where is the party? I'm in my thirties and all I seem to do is work, clean, and come home. When we're young, we have this false idea that getting older is "fun." Where did that go? I didn't really get to experience that. I've always had a job and had to pay my own way. I have even had multiple jobs in the past just to make ends meet.
Honestly, the "party" idea has changed. As we get older the party is quite literally becoming who we are. I don't think you truly know your worth until your late 20s and your thirties is where you define that internal dialogue. My party consists of reading books to my child, having a home, paying my bills, and having a few close friends. In my small circle, being a functional adult is okay. The party is what you make it.
Rules to follow:
1. Stay in your own lane. Let others lead their own lives.
2. Do what makes you happy.
3. Get a job that allows you the freedom to be with your kids on the weekends.
4. Build a life and keep it secret.
5. Read as many books as you want.
6. Try a few new hobbies along the way.
7. Learn that it's OK to say, "no."
