Obsidian by Jennifer Armentrout

The official first book to the Lux series about humans and aliens. I love the odd twist on the "aliens" and how they a literally light but have a human form they can use. Catt is the female main character and she is somewhat portrayed as being weak and in comes the broody, Daemon who loves her secretly but is too proud to admit it.
As a reader, once I start something I like to finish it. Note every book will capture every reader's full attention. This is one of those books. I feel as if it has a great story line, but the characters themselves need some additional development. As with her last series, some of the banter between the leads is the same. Having the same narrator did not help this situation. I just expected more. I will take an extended break from this series and read/listen to something else. I would rate this book a 2.5 out of five. I'm just not impressed. Maybe the next installation to this series will be better? I will just have to see.
