Late Night ER Visit
After a long day of playing in the pool, Taylor ended up running a fever. I gave her medication and waited close to an hour. Upon checking it again, I discovered she was at 102.9 and I gave her additional medication. So around 7:00 the fever was still consistent, so I decided we were going to the ER.
She became super lethargic. We live about an hour away from the ER, so her fever had spiked again. They checked it and it was 103.1. Anytime she isn't feeling well I automatically panic. She is my only child and after loosing one I have become so over protective. They gave her the exact same medication that I had given her, but at a higher dosage. Her fever is under control now.
The doctor stated that she has two massive ear infections, which causes the fever. She is on antibiotics for the next ten days.
We just made it home and she is well medicated and fast asleep. I hope tomorrow brings her comfort and healing. I cannot wait until she can tell me what is bothering her!
