The 4th of July
We should be out celebrating, but instead we have chosen to hangout here at home and may wander off to watch fireworks later. Nothing too exciting over here. As a child I would count down the days until we would make the drive to Fontana, NC to watch their show. Too bad, it was bought out by non-locals who have run the village into the ground.
I really wanted to have this same tradition with my own children, but nothing seems to last the test of time. I did put a brighter American flag up and took the time to tell Taylor what the 4th is important, but she's too young to understand.
