Odd Morning
Something just felt completely off today as I started my long commute to work. I had to pump up two of my tires because the tire pressure had dropped below what was acceptable. My car had less gas in it than what I remember parking it with. My driver seat was also scooted back further than normal. This leads me to believe that one of my family members borrowed my vehicle. I was about 35 minutes into my commute and got a random text message that school was on a two hour delay. We usually get an official call so getting a random text Message seemed odd too. Being 20 minutes or so out from work I continued to go to work.
Once I made it to work, I just kept having a reoccurring feeling that someone else had driven my car. Yes, we have a few surveillance cameras at the house so I decided to do a little bit of digging since I had a whole two hour delay to wait for my students to get to school. I was watching the camera and I realized that someone did borrow my car. Apparently, if you have a key, you can just go and borrow someone's car. Or at least this person thinks they can. There will be a long conversation when I get home. It just felt so odd this morning. Even my radio was set to a classic rock station.
Honestly, I'm so oblivious to so many things I could've possibly drove halfway here and someone could've been in the backseat and I would've never known it. I have got to be more observant. Along with locking my keys inside the house in our safe. And no, I did not leave my keys in the car. But leaving them sitting out on the table inside the house is a no no.
