Sister of the Lost Nation by Nick Medina
What a great way to have healing in the form of story telling along with displaying the disparity of MMIW to your audience. Medina delivered a breath taking story about loss, healing, and culture.
I was spellbound with this book and couldn't put it down. With twists and turns along the way, the plot kept me guessing. I had predicted that Grace's character would never return only to be overjoyed that she made it out at the very end.
I bought this book on Audible, but the narration was terrible and completely ruined the first few chapters. I ended up buying the digital copy and reading it on my phone. Audible did this book so dirty in so many ways. Why choose an expressionless narrator to read such a fantastic book?
I would rate this book a 5 out of 5. I hate book spoilers, so I try to avoid that at all cost. I hope this book makes our Keepers of the Flame reading list at school.
