Mountain State Fair

It's been an adventure today. Toddler and elderly woman with a scooter. As it turns out, you can go out and do things without your husband. He had to work so we traveled the two hours to have a day of fun.

Taylor is still too small to ride anything, so maybe next year she will have even more fun. Fair food is the best and I enjoyed every minute of it. I love roasted corn! There just isn't a way to ruin that for me. I spent some time looking through the Chevy products as well and I was VERY impressed. I want the next Equinox, but man she's out of my price range. They had a demo vehicle and I fell in absolute love.

The NC wildlife tent was Taylor's favorite! She was able to catch a trout and get her picture taken with Smokey the Bear. The rangers were beyond nice and allowed Taylor to take all their pens. Of course I brought them back when she wasn't looking.

I sampled sweet treats and had enough popcorn to build a house with. Taylor got to see and interact with all kinds of farm animals and we got to see a milking demonstration along with a live birth of a new calf. The only thing that could have made today better, would have been more accessible buildings. Mom's scooter was too wide to fit and we had to avoid those buildings.

I was also impressed with the number of food trucks present. Our food was way over priced and sadly it wasn't up to par, but I did enjoy some veggie nachos before we left. I-40 was a complete hot mess and traffic came to a standstill numerous times going and coming.
