Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros


                 At work, this is all the rage with the older women who are in my reading circle (LUNCH BUNCH). Oh, and this reading circle is a separate one than the book a month crew that I'm a part of through the school year. These books would not align with the type of material that we read in order to gain CEU credits. I joined a reading group that met during my lunch time. Hearing their conversation, absolutely sparked my interest. Honestly, I was afraid that it was going to be too bland. Now, I think otherwise and I have completely different ideas about the older women that I work with. These grandmas knew exactly the type of book I needed to download and read on my Kindle. Some scenes might even make you blush. My next goal in life is to become the grandmother that sits and reads books like this. 

    This was so much more than what I ever expected. The excitement, action, romance, and spicy scenes has made this a must read on my list. I highly recommend if you have not started this series that you consider doing so soon. Honestly, the author done such a great job with imagery that I felt like I was actively in the story as I was reading it. I really try hard not to be a book spoiler so I won't give away any of the plot.  But how the book ends absolutely throws you for a complete plot twist.  I don't know when I will get the second book, but I need it now.  Oh my goodness girls this is one for us.  


          Main Character: Violet is our main character, she seems weak, small, and undoubtedly clumsy. I think she's my favorite heroin I have ever read about. I love female leads who truly exhibit the underdog stigma. And her nickname violence is absolutely hilarious.

    I rated this book a five out of five due to the fact that I could not put it down. It is a very long novel, and it usually takes me many days to finish a book that has this kind of length. Each action scene made you instantly want to pick the book back up to figure out if she survived or not.

Lists 2.0

 #40. Fly in a plane.  Check A+.       I did end up flying in a plane. The year I turned 30 was one of the best year's of my life so far. My best friend/ sister convinced me to go to the infamous Vegas. The four hour flight was breathtaking and I will forever remember the feeling of lifting off. I do not ever really want to fly again. We hit some MAJOR turbulence on the way home and I was frightened to the point I had a panic attack.      We enjoyed seven days of shows,  shopping, and exploring. We averaged over 15,000 steps a day and slept well at night. That was what life was like before children. My sister and I could take off with a moment's notice and go where ever. Lists

    Analyzing my current behaviors has been somewhat informative. I wonder if there is some weird diagnosis for people who have to have lists to function? I have to have the lists checked off in order to feel accomplished. It's strange to really think about it all. The lists are do not serve as reminders, but more of importance. I arrange items based upon the tasks at hand and what matters most, which often leads to a massive let down for me.       My current list consists of the many chores that need to be done that go beyond the daily tasks. Mostly things that need to be repaired or moved. Lists assist me in my daily life of routine. I live a monotonous life and each day is basically a replica of the day before. Nothing changes and that is to be expected. When new things to arise, I really struggle with change.
