Tuesday Vibes

Sometimes all you need is a walk with your goats. Taylor and I went down and spent the afternoon in with my small herd. I was picking up trash and other undesirable things that have made its way into the field. My dad was a massive junk hoarder, and we have spent years cleaning up his mess. From old tires to old cars.  Just look how majestic my billy is! Junior is the most gentle giant I own and he loves to be fed treats.

I really wanted to share images of all of my goats, but some of the more feral goats do not come within arms reach unless I have food. It seems when we purchase goats from other farms that they actually want their goats to be completely wild. This isn't always a good thing, especially when they need a hoof trim or medicine.
Junior is a Boer/ Kinko cross, so he will end up being massive. He currently weighs in at 255lbs of pure love. I think he is my favorite goat!  I know eventually he will have to move on to a new farm, and I'm really not looking forward to it.
This little lady's name is Marsh Mellow. She is so wild that I cannot catch her without food. She was born and raised here. Her mother, Milly is an absolute sweetheart and loves to be petted. I will have to start brining down some raisins to sweeten this little lady up.

He we have a few of the new babies. I haven't decided if I will be keeping any or all of them just yet. Connie the solid darker female is the cutest baby we've had in a while. She is super tame and loves to be picked up. I will share more photos as I take them. I'm currently saving up for more fencing for our next section. Man, I don't know how people afford to do their entire property at one time.
