Medical Debt

I have really good health insurance, but it still doesn't help. I had surgery back in May and I'm just now getting some of the bills in that the insurance didn't cover. Come on Blue Cross Blue Shield! With inflation driving up all living costs and this new debt, I'm in over my head. I don't know where to start and the annoyance is killing me.

I am highly educated and barely surviving! With an education (which was heavily encouraged), I should be breaking more than even. I budget well in my opinion and adding this additional $450 payment a month seems excessive. I wish there was some sort of reform that would happen to place medical costs at set rate. My surgery was over $95,000 dollars and my insurance did the best it could. Each department had its own billing as well, so there are also other payments that will be made. Medical debt is ridiculous and there's no way to escape it. I'm still paying on the birth of my child back from back in 2023. That bill will not be paid in full until Taylor turns 4!!!  We didn't qualify for any assistance so I'm on my own. Why is it always a money game?

I guess I will be picking up a second job after all!
