For Mom on Mother's Day
I had to work this morning, so I wasn't here to greet her. Sometimes the morning shift is too much for me to handle, but I really needed this second job. Getting up at 4:30AM isn't my cup of sweet tea! I didn't get home until two this afternoon.
Mother's are really God's way of extending his protection. My mom has really tried her best to raise me right and instill good solid morals. How often we forget those who mean the most? I know I do. I don't know what I would do without my mom. To all moms out there here are a few words I wanted to share with you:
Mother's are really God's way of extending his protection. My mom has really tried her best to raise me right and instill good solid morals. How often we forget those who mean the most? I know I do. I don't know what I would do without my mom. To all moms out there here are a few words I wanted to share with you:
- You make everyday special and thank you for that!
- We really appreciate everything you do, and one day you child will realize this.
- Moms are God's extended hands and YES, YOU COUNT.
- Thank you for your unconditional love.
- Thank you for the endless meals that you cook, and the special lunches that you have packed.
I would now like to thank my mom:
- Thank you for getting up extra early to make sure my alarm clock goes off. You have always greeted me with a warm smile and thoughtful gaze. Mom, honestly there was mornings that I would have went back to bed if you weren't up and waiting.
- Thank you for never giving up on me. You were the one who got me through college. I wanted to give up and come home, but you would't let me. I guess in a way you were the one who inspired me to go.
- Thank you for all the times you have rescued me. For all the times my poor truck gave out and decided to leave me stranded on the side of the road. For all the times I didn't have a ride, but you let me borrow yours. Thank you for handing me the keys to your new car and not hesitating. That trust has always meant a lot to me.
- Thank you for always finding a way to get me what I needed. I might not have worn name brand clothing, but I was dressed just as nice. For helping me get dressed during prom. That beautiful borrowed dress was amazing. I know we couldn't afford a new one, but that never mattered. I don't want you to ever worry about what we didn't have. I had everything I needed.
- Thank you for coming to all my school functions. I didn't have to worry about being alone and having no support because you have always been there for me.
- I just wanted to say thank you for helping me move in and out of my college dorm. It seemed like an endless task, but you were always up for it. Thank you for teaching me how to be a productive adult and providing me an amazing example to go by. You have worked your entire life, and you have taught me that, "There is nothing free in this world and you have to work for what you've got or what you want."
- Mom, thank you for always trusting me. Sometimes people forget how much that really means.
- Thank you for being a shoulder to cry on, when my best friend died. That was one of the toughest times, and you put up with my grumpy butt.
- Thank you for always allowing my friends to come over and treating them like family. I always had people in and out, but you never said no. I guess that is why my best friend calls you Mom too. You have always been there and guided her too.
- Thank you for not telling dad everything. Sometimes our secrets were hard to keep, but you managed.
- Thank you for not freaking out about my tattoo. The hurt look on your face was more than words and I never wanted to disappoint you. I don't regret getting it, but I do regret the way you had to find out about it.
- Thank you for teaching me manners. The kids that I teach today have no manners and if they were spanked like me, there would be no sass.
- Thank you for all the nonverbal cues. I can remember being at a friends house and you could just give me a look.
