November

Where has the time gone? Everyday is passing by way too fast. I blinked back in August and now it's suddenly November. Taylor is a bundle of joy and each day she is gaining knowledge of how the world works. Today, she discovered that as the leaves fall she gets to enjoy them. We spent over 30 minutes outside enjoying this Fall weather. This time next year she will be up and running around. I know these days will not last, and she will grow up fast. Cherishing these moments is beyond incredible.

November was my grandfather's favorite month. He got to eat whatever he wanted for Thanksgiving and his birthday followed. Our table would be filled with food and laughter. I look back and remember all the family gatherings we used to have. Now who is around my table is completely different. It's nice to have my little family, but I miss the ones who have passed on. With a new child you get to create new traditions, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I cannot wait to be in the kitchen with her cooking by my side.

Each day has a blessing to be thankful for. Today, I am thankful for getting to see my child smile at the falling leaves. I'm thankful for my Dachshunds running around chasing us as Taylor laughs. I wish I was strong enough to do this for hours, but she has got heavy. Weighing in around 17.4 lbs.

    Sidenote:

Well, we had a hen (Penny) go missing and I honestly thought she had died or got eaten. Today, she came wondering in followed by a full line of chicks. There must have been around ten of the sweet little babies. They are precious and I really wanted to get a picture to post, but she got really hateful when I approached her. I didn't even know she had a nest beyond the hen house. This is a HAPPY surprise. I'll update you all when possible. Hopefully, I will be able to take a picture without being flogged.
