Thank You Spring Break!

I've haven't accomplished much the past few days. I managed to finish a novel, but that was it.  I decided that I would devote my evening to lesson planning.  While lesson planing I came across this idea of postponing EOG practices until Thursday and Friday of every week. I hated this time of the year as a student, so I'm trying to make it bearable for my students.  Terminology seems to be our biggest obstacle thus far, but I have found a neat way to both review it and to teach new vocabulary.
Before the students can leave my room they must be able to tell me one of the terms and what it means.  I will also be using it in WARM UPS at the beginning of each class. When they have mastered their term I will provide some sort of treat.  I have found that rewards really help students be enthused about working.

      Yesterday:

- I purchaced a beach ball that will be used for a review game.
- bought markers
- decided to map out an entire month of lesson plans
- started planning for after school tutoring, but that wasn't very successful

The beach ball will have the numbers one through thirty written across it. Each number in turn will correspond with a question. The questions will be displayed across my Smart-board. I will divide my classes into groups of three, and they will have to throw the ball to each other. Whatever number their left hand lands on is what question they will answer. Hopefully, this will work out. It will give them a chance to be up and moving, while reviewing.

I'm unsure as to how this will work out, but I'll give it a chance. I will also spend about ten minutes explaining the rules and how to properly throw the ball. I don't want them to kill each other or act like its dodge ball.
I would really appreciate some veteran teacher's opinion on how this could possibly work. Fill free to post your ideas and thoughts.
