Expanding Our Horizons
Horizons? What a curious word to use, but it truly has little meaning. According to Dictionary.com it means, "the line or circle that forms the apparent boundary between earth and sky." So how does such a word set our standards? What defines us as people? Do we in fact have an "apparent boundary" that I have not seen? Horizons could be possible goals or just simply expanding our selves. Our dear sheriff has caused quite an uproar in our small community. Maybe he needs to "expand his horizons" and see that we don't need to be on the local news. I will not comment on his act, but placing an already fragile community in the spot light isn't a good thing. I feel somewhat embarrassed seeing my town on WLOS News 13 for his mistake. Its a sad ...
